Lauren Turner is a freelance musician living and working in London. She moved from Zimbabwe to the UK at the age of 18 to study the flute at Trinity College of music.

Since graduating she has secured teaching posts at two London schools and continues to perform locally and abroad whenever she can. She also takes private students where time allows!

Lauren has never forgotten her roots and is currently involved in setting up an outreach venture called Cre8. The project takes internationlly trained musicians to Southern Africa to perform and run workshops. A pilot trip ran in April 2010 and following its success another is planned for the autumn.
